Vladimir Weiss – 'Vladi' played his youth team football at FK Inter Bratislava and his success at Manchester City's youth team (2006-2009) took him to the senior ranks of the Citizens.

Weiss scored a goal in Manchester City’s triumph against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup final on April 16, 2008. He made his Premier League debut with the English outfit on May 24, 2009 as a second half substitute in the final game of the 2008-09 season and scored his first senior goal in City’s 3-0 win over Arsenal in a Carling Cup match on December 2, 2009.

Weiss' current contract runs until the end of 2012. In January 2010, he opted to join Bolton Wanderers on loan in a bid to play more first-team matches.

There was plenty of excitement when he was called up for his first international match with Slovakia's A-team on 12 August 2009 against Iceland.

His debut was a smashing success and Weiss is now among the first-team players. Weiss did have impressive stints with the Slovakia U-21 side that missed out on qualifying for the 2009 European Championships.
