George Mandjeck is a very young and promising player who made the move from Cameroon just two summers ago. Going straight from the Kadji Sports Academy to Stuttgart, the youngster was loaned to Kaiserslautern rather quickly before returning to the champions and again being loaned back to Kaiserslautern again.

Even though he's very young and already compared to more established players, Mandjeck could quickly become a new alternative for Paul Le Guen. In a phase with the Indomitables where no player is safe, Mandjeck could be seen as a realistic replacement for Jean II Makoun or Achille Emana, or even Stephane Mbia even though he doesn’t have the physical dominance of the Marseille midfielder.

In the meantime, he will keep his performances impressive, just as he did with the Olympic team where he dazzled lately before making the jump with the big boys. At just 21, his World Cup place will depend on the remainder of his season but his performances show us that he’s already a shoe-in.

Did you know?

Geoges Mandjeck is one of the products of the Kadji Sports academy, a youth club that boast famous alumni such as Samuel Eto’o, Stephane M’bia, Aurelien Chedjou, Carlos Kameni and many more Cameroonian superstars.
