The 2007 Copa America was probably one of the most important moments of Robinho's career. Kaka and Ronaldinho, the stars of the Brazilian team at that moment, asked to be left out of the tournament to enjoy their vacation, but Robinho wanted to play. His attitude, more than the football he showed since then, was what granted him a spot in the starting XI of the Selecao.

Now, with the return to his youth club Santos, Robinho hopes to recapture the good performances that made him eligible for the national team. That way, he can repay Dunga's confidence when the World Cup comes.
