World Cup 2018 training camps: Where England, Brazil & all 32 teams are set up in Russia

With the Russia World Cup now just three months away, Goal takes a look at where each nation will be based throughout the group stages

The countdown to the 2018 Russia World Cup has started.

Just three months remain until the ultimate competition kicks off, with Russia starting proceedings against Saudi Arabia on June 14 at Luzhniki Stadium.

Each nation has now been handed a hotel and a training site which is located a short distance from each other. The squads will be approximately an hour's drive from an airport and they will stay in their designated areas for at least the group stage of the competition.

Goal takes a look at where the 32 teams will be based, where they will be staying, and which training facilities they will use ahead of kick off in June.

Naturally, Russia will take the capital and use the state-of-the-art Federal Sports Centre to prepare for games.

Saudi Arabia, Russia's first opponents, will take FC Zenit's training facility, while Egypt will use the 31,000-capacity home of FC Terek Grozny, Akhmat Arena.

World Cup 2010 champions Spain will reside in the south of Russia throughout the group stage of the tournament, while Portugal take their place at Educational training centre Saturn, which has three training pitches and can host up to 130 players.

Iran will also be based in the Moscow region but will be based at the training ground of Lokomotiv Moscow.

France will settle at the Hilton Garden Inn Moscow New Riga, a 30-minute drive north west of Moscow, and will train nearby at the Glebovets Stadium. The hotel offers an in-house cinema, a swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, a Finnish sauna and Turkish bath.

Australia will train at Trudovye Rezervy Stadium, a fully FIFA-compliant arena, while Denmark will be staying at the Beton Brut, a hotel with its own landscaped park and sandy beach. 

The Peru national team will stay next door to Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport and train at the Khimki, which was named the best sports facility in the Moscow Region in 2011.

Lionel Messi and his Argentina team-mates will take up the training centre in the town of Bronnitsy, often used as the home of other national sports in Russia.

Iceland's home for the group stages will be Gelendjik, a town on the Black Sea coast, while Croatia will be based in the historical centre of Saint Petersburg. They will use the Roschino Arena as their training base, a facility built specifically for the World Cup.

Brazil have opted for the five-star resort of Swissotel Kamelia for their base and the 10,000-seater stadium of Yug-Sport for their training.

Serbia have opted for the tranquillity of Svetlogorsk, Costa Rica will be based 6 km from Pulkovo International Airport, and Switzerland will stay in the health resort of Togliatti.

Current World Cup champions Germany will stay at the state-of-the-art Vatutinki and have access to two heated pitches at the training facility of CSKA Moscow.

Mexico will also have access to two natural grass pitches, as well as an artificial pitch, while Sweden will stay in the south of the country in Gelendzhik.

South Korea will train at Spartak Stadium in Lomonosov - an arena which usually hosts Saint Petersburg and Lomonosov District football.

England will take advantage of a freshly-built training complex built specifically for the World Cup in Saint Petersburg, which after the tournament will be used by children as a sports school.

Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and the rest of the Belgium team will be based in the 120-hectare grounds of the Moscow Country Club.

Tunisia will train in the Stroitel sports complex, the previous home of the World Youth Games, while Panama have opted to stay in Saransk as their third and final fixture of the group stages being held in the nearby Mordovia Arena.

Poland will stay near to the World Cup FanZone in Sochi and train in the nearby Sputnik Stadium, while Senegal will stay at the 2005 Ski Resort Hotel of the Year.

Colombia will also stay at a ski resort, while Japan's fixtures in Saransk, Ekaterinburg and Volgograd means they will base themselves at the home of Rubin Kazan.
