A tifo made by Western Sydney Wanderers fans for the Saturday night's derby against Sydney FC has allegedly been banned and won't be displayed at ANZ Stadium.
Prominent Wanderers fan group RBB took to Twitter on Thursday night to accuse the FFA of barring the banner from the match, and also voice their anger at how the game has been run.
The tifo has the message, "you can't put a crown on a clown and call him a king", with the words, "checkmate", emblazoned in the background.
It's believed to be a reference to a tifo from Sky Blue supporter group The Cove in the first derby in October, which pictured their coach Graham Arnold with a crown upon his head.
During last season's derby in February, which was Sydney's only loss of the season, Wanderers fans were criticised for displaying a homophobic tifo involving Arnold and a sex act.
In 2015, a Sydney FC tifo was stolen from a warehouse in the build up to the derby and later displayed on social media with an RBB banner underneath.
