The UTC Cajamarca midfielder opened his account for the club in spectacular style as he crashed home a 35-yard thunderbolt against Real Garcilaso

A first goal for a new club is always special, and that was certainly the case for UTC Cajamarca midfielder Benjamin Ubierna in his most recent outing.

Having switched sides in January, the 25-year-old is finding his feet in new surroundings.

He has, however, endeared himself to the locals with a spectacular strike in just his fifth appearance.

Collecting the ball some 35 yards from goal, Ubierna sent a long-range rocket soaring into the top corner during a 4-1 victory for his side over Real Garcilaso.

The Argentina-born Peru international will be delighted to get off the mark, having endured a tough time at club level of late.

He has previously represented Juan Aurica and Universidad San Martin with distinction, but struggled to make an impact in Portugal with Moreirense before returning to South America.
