Henrikh Mkhitaryan is fighting to save his Manchester United career following his dip in form in recent weeks, claims The Sun.

The Armenia international enjoyed a bright start to the season, but has struggled of late and was left out of the matchday squad for Saturday’s 4-1 win over Newcastle.

His fitness level is causing Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff concern, with the 28-year-old battling to prove he is worth keeping at United.


MAN CITY WANT VAN DIJK

Manchester City are ready to fight it out with Liverpool to sign Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk in January, reports the Mirror.

Pep Guardiola is considering whether to bring in defensive reinforcements in the New Year and is toying with the idea of a move for Van Dijk, who has long been linked with a £60 million transfer to Liverpool.


DE GEA STILL MADRID'S NO.1 KEEPER TARGET

Manchester United’s David de Gea remains Real Madrid’s No.1 goalkeeping target for next summer, according to Cadena SER

Madrid have been linked with a move for Kepa Arrizabalaga, but would prefer to spend €70 million on trying to sign De Gea than paying €50m for the Athletic Bilbao keeper.


STURRIDGE WANTS JANUARY MOVE

Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge wants to leave the club in January, the Daily Mirror reports.

The 28-year-old has started just four games under Jurgen Klopp this season, and he feels he needs a change of scenery to salvage his hopes of playing for England at the World Cup next summer.

A loan is possible for Sturridge, who has scored three goals for Liverpool in all competitions this season.


SPURS OPEN TO SHAW DEAL

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is open to pursuing a deal for Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw in January, according to the Irish Independent .

Pochettino worked with Shaw at Southampton prior to the left-back's move to Old Trafford and is viewed by the player as his mentor.

United are interested in securing Danny Rose from Spurs, with the left-back behind Ben Davies in Pochettino's pecking order, and the two could swap clubs in January.


ARSENAL & CHELSEA IN FOR RICHARLISON

Arsenal and Chelsea are the latest clubs to show an interest in Watford forward Richarlison.

According to the Star on Sunday, the Gunners are set to battle north London rivals, Tottenham, over the 20-year-old in the January transfer window.

But the Sun on Sunday report that Chelsea are also monitoring the Brazilian's progress after a superb start to life at Vicarage Road.


HENRY ON WALES SHORTLIST

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry is on Wales's shortlist as they search for the new manager, according to  The Sunday People .

The Euro 2016 semi-finalists are looking for a new coach following Chris Coleman's resignation, with Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy also being considered.

But Henry, who has spent the past year working as assistant manager for Belgium, is the surprise candidate to make his first steps into outright management. 


MAN CITY JOIN GORETZKA RACE

Manchester City are the latest club to show an interest in signing Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka, according to the  Sunday Mirror .

The Germany international is seen as one of Bundesliga's hottest properties, with Bayern Munich heavily linked with his signature.

But now City have joined the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona in registering their interest in the 22-year-old.


MOURINHO WANTS WILLIAN AT MAN UTD

Jose Mourinho wants to bring Willian to Manchester United if the Brazilian leaves Chelsea this winter, according to the Sunday Express .

The Blues want to bring in PSG's Lucas Moura, leaving the future uncertain for the 29-year-old, who starred at Chelsea under Mourinho. 


CITY TURN TO VAN AANHOLT

Manchester City's pursuit of a new left-back has seen them turn to Crystal Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt, according to  The Sun on Sunday .

City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to bring in cover for the injured Benjamin Mendy during the January transfer window, and sees Van Aanholt as a cut-price option.

The former Chelsea and Sunderland full-back is likely to be available for around £12 million should City make their move.


SOLER DEMANDS £45M MAN UTD MOVE

Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler has demanded his club agree a January deal for him to move to Manchester United, claims  The Sun .

United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified the Spain Under 21 international as his No.1 target to improve his creative midfield options in the New Year.

Though Soler has an €80 million release clause in his contract, the player wants Valencia to accept £45m from United, so he can complete a transfer to the Premier League.


REAL MADRID READY £60M BID FOR AGUERO

Real Madrid are preparing a £60m bid to bring Sergio Aguero to La Liga, according to Don Balon .

City are willing to sell their all-time record goalscorer if they can sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, which would pave the way for Zinedine Zidane's side to seal a deal for the Argentina striker.


CITY & BAYERN CHASE LYON WINGER

Manchester City and Bayern Munich have made offers to sign Lyon’s 16-year-old winger Willem Geubbels, reports  RMC Sport .

Geubbels made history in September when he became the first player born in the 21st century to appear in Ligue 1, and Lyon are hoping to fight off interest from City and Bayern to secure the attacker on a professional contract.


CHELSEA WATCH INTER DUO

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is interested in Mile Skriniar and Antonio Candreva of Inter Milan, according to the Express .

The Blues boss is monitoring the progress of the Inter duo, and has sent scouts to watch them in action in Serie A. Skriniar is a new signing at San Siro, but his performances have already seen him linked with bigger clubs including Barcelona.

Candreva played under Conte when the latter was Italy coach, and it is believed that the 48-year-old would like to work with the winger again.


MAN UTD TO MAKE ANOTHER RUN AT BALE

Manchester United are set to make a third run at Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale, according to the Mirror .

The report states Madrid have grown tired of Bale's injury problems while the Red Devils are confident manager Jose Mourinho could better manage the Wales star to return him to his Premier League fitness levels. 

However, United will have to approach the £85 million price tag the La Liga champions originally spent on the attacker, since Bale's current deal runs until 2022. 


MAN UTD TO MAKE JANUARY MOVE FOR ROSE

Jose Mourinho will try to bring Tottenham left-back Danny Rose to Manchester United in the January transfer window, claims The Sun.

Rose has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford and reports suggest the England international is interested in joining the Red Devils.

Tottenham will need to be persuaded to offload Rose, who has recently returned from a long-term injury lay-off, midway through the season, but United could offer Luke Shaw as part of any deal.


OZIL IS BARCA'S COUTINHO BACK-UP

Barcelona are lining up Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil as a back-up signing to Philippe Coutinho, reports Mundo Deportivo .

Liverpool star Coutinho is again expected to be targeted by Barca during the January transfer window after they failed to push through a deal in the summer.

But, if Liverpool stand firm once more on Coutinho, Barca will instead move for Ozil, who is out of contract at the end of the season and could be available for a reasonable fee in January.


INTER LINE UP ATLETICO DEFENDER

Inter Milan want to sign Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez at the end of the season, reports Corriere dello Sport .

Gimenez has a €65 million release clause in his contract, but Inter are hoping to agree a deal to bring in the 22-year-old next summer to replace Miranda.

The Uruguay international has also been linked with Inter’s Serie A rivals Juventus and Roma, along with Premier League duo Liverpool and Manchester United.

Barcelona are closely following the progress of Lyon midfielder Lucas Tousart this season, claims Mundo Deportivo .

Tousart has caught the eye since stepping in to replace the departed Corentin Tolisso and has been watched by several key Barca personnel this term.
