Torino make official bid for Bologna's Godfred Donsah, says agent

Godfred Donsah’s agent Oliver Arthur has confirmed that Serie A side Torino have officially opened talks with Bologna for his client's services which he said would likely happen before the January transfer window closes.

The 21-year-old is a major transfer target for coach Walter Mazzarri and although, he missed the opportunity to sign him last summer, he wants to bring him to Stadio Olimpico Grande this time around as a direct replacement for countryman Afriyie Acquah who is reported to be on his way to Genoa.

“It’s true, we’re talking to Torino,” Arthur told Calciomercato.com.

“The Granata have always shown an interest in my client and rated him highly. How close? I can’t say for now, but they’d be a welcome destination if all negotiations go through as they expect,” he added.

Goal understands that Bologna are demanding €10 million but Torino are only ready to pay €6 million.

Donsah was part of the Ghana U20 squad that participated in the 2015 Fifa World Youth Championship.
