Swansea City player-manager Leon Britton has described Jordan Ayew's goal against Crystal Palace on Saturday as "fantastic".
The Ghanaian spared the Jack Army's blushes with a sweet second half-equaliser in the 1-1 home draw with the Eagles.
A second half substitute, the striker picked up a Tom Carroll pass from about 25 yards, dummied a shot, before releasing a rocket past Julian Speroni into the left corner.
“It’s been difficult for us when we have gone behind this season,” Britton, currently the caretaker of the side following the dismissal of Paul Clement, said as reported by his club's official website.
“But the fans were right behind us even after we conceded.
“They were great. They kept going and gave the players a lift, and they got their reward with a fantastic goal from Jordan.
“We didn’t settle for a draw. We kept pushing for another one after that and I thought we looked the most likely team to score.”
Luka Milivojevic put Palace in the lead from the spot on 59 minutes.
“I was really pleased with our performance,” Britton said.
“We started very well, passing the ball with good tempo, and the only disappointing thing was that we didn’t create more chances to take the lead.
“In the last 20 minutes of the first half we got a bit sloppy and they got some chances on the break from our sloppy passing.
“But the character we showed after going 1-0 down was brilliant. I am very proud of the effort the players have given me, not just today but over the last couple of days.”
So far this season, Jordan has made 19 league appearances involving 16 starts and two goals for Swansea, who sit bottom of the table.
The 26-year-old could be rewarded with a start when the Jacks face Liverpool on Boxing Day.
