Senegal to challenge Botswana referee Joshua Bondo after draw with Madagascar

Federation of Senegalese Football (FSF) president Augustine Senghor says they will object to Botswana referee Joshua Bondo handling their future matches.

Bondo was in charge of Senegal’s 2-2 draw away in Madagascar last weekend in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier (Afcon).

But his handling of the match against Madagascar left coach Aliou Cisse and Teranga Lions unhappy.

It was not the first time for Senegal to criticise Bondo’s officiating.

“We are planning to challenge this Botswana referee next time,” Senghor was quoted as saying by WiwSport.

Last year Bondo was sent home from the Cosafa Cup tournament after controversially handling Zimbabwe’s match against Madagascar.
