Who will finish the season as the top goalscorer in England's leading competition? Goal brings you the latest tallies

The race for the 2017-18 Premier League Golden Boot is well and truly on, with the usual suspects surging into an early lead.

Harry Kane was the clear winner of last season's crown, bagging 29 goals in 30 appearances for Tottenham, while Romelu Lukaku followed with 25 in 37 games for Everton.

New faces such as Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata and Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette have been added into the mix this season, meaning that the competition is certainly greater.

But we have a clear leader at the moment, with Lukaku still sitting atop the table despite not scoring in Manchester United's 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Saturday.

Goal brings you the latest Premier League top scorer ranking.

Romelu Lukaku Manchester United

United's Lukaku leads the way, having scored seven goals from eight Premier League games.

Gabriel Jesus surged up the scoring charts on Saturday, scoring twice in Manchester City's 7-2 thrashing of Stoke City — tying him on six goals with team-mates Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling, as well as Chelsea's Alvaro Morata and Tottenham's Harry Kane.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, meanwhile, sits just behind the second-placed pack with five goals.
