Kylian Mbappe is aware that he is a long way short of yet challenging the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar for the Ballon d’Or.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker is set to become the world’s second most expensive player when he makes his move to Parc des Princes from Monaco permanent next summer, with the fee reportedly standing at €160 million before bonuses.

Nevertheless, the 18-year-old says that he has a lot of work to do before he can be considered at the pinnacle of the sport.
“I still have a lot of steps to go for the Ballon d'Or, I'm learning,” he told TF1’s ‘Telefoot’.
Indeed, he believes it is likelier that team-mate Neymar will claim the prize before he is at that standard, but he is pleased to be able to learn from such a player.
“Ney has this technical quality that allows you to interact with him. He took me under his wing and if I can help him to win the Ballon d'Or, I'll do it, but the important thing is the team,” he said.
Mbappe has now been in Paris for a couple of months and admits that moving to such a club has proven to be something of an eye opener.
"I feel like it's been a while since I came here, it's a new world,” he said. “More is always being asked of us and it is up to us to provide the necessary efforts. We're not machines either, we're still humans, but we're not going to complain that people love us and support us.”
PSG have made a terrific start to the season, surging to the top of Ligue 1 while also taking control of their Champions League group, in which they tackle Anderlecht on Tuesday.
