Burnley have completed the signing of Charlie Taylor from Leeds United on a four-year contract.
The 23-year-old defender turned down the offer of a new deal at Elland Road as he sought to force through a move to the Premier League.
He has now got his wish, with the Clarets snapping him up for a compensation fee which is yet to be agreed, though reports suggest it will be close to £5 million.
Taylor handed in a transfer request in 2016 after deciding against penning fresh terms with Leeds.
He then refused to play in the Whites’ final game of the 2016-17 campaign as he pushed for a move, leading to him being fined two weeks’ wages.
West Brom were the early favourites to land him, but he failed to agree a deal with the Baggies before Burnley swooped in.
The former England U19 international is a product of Leeds’ academy system and made 104 appearances for the club after making his senior breakthrough.
His debut came as an 18-year-old in September 2011, before going on to take in loan spells at Bradford City, York City, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Fleetwood Town.

After establishing himself at Leeds, Taylor quickly attracted interest from the Premier League.
He was named the Whites’ Player of the Year in 2015-16, but the transfer talk was starting to turn his head.
Burnley have now given him a platform on which to prove himself at the highest level, with Sean Dyche making the talented left-back his first signing of the summer window as he looks to rebuild his defence following the sale of Michael Keane to Everton.
