Chuba Akpom ‘buzzing’ after scoring first goal for Sint-Truiden

Chuba Akpom is ‘buzzing’ after scoring his first goal for Sint-Truiden to help them to a 1-0 victory over Anderlecht in a Belgian First Division A encounter.

The Anglo-Nigerian joined Jonas de Roeck’s side from Arsenal on loan till the end of the season on transfer deadline day after failing to break into the Gunners’ first team.

The 22-year-old who made his third appearance and second start for the Canaries found the net in the 42nd minute before he was replaced by Yohan Boli.

Delighted with his effort in the outing, the forward has taken to the social media to express his joy on scoring his maiden goal for the club.

“Solid 1-0 win against Anderlecht. Buzzing to get my first goal for Sint-Truiden,” Akpom tweeted.

He will look to continue the impressive form when Sint-Truiden travel to Versluys Arena to confront KV Oostende on February 24.
