AFC Champions League 2018: Goal's Player of the Week - Persepolis' Ahmad Nourollahi

Iran's Persepolis made it into the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League after a 4-4 aggregate win over Al Jazira. The first leg had finished 3-2 in favour of Al Jazira but a 2-1 win in the second leg meant that Persepolis went through on away goals.

It was their midfielder Ahmad Nourollahi who made the difference with an all-round performance from the middle of the park.

The first half produced no goals in Iran as Al Jazira started to breathe easy. But the Iranians went ahead finally in the 63rd minute when Ahmadzadeh played in Ahmad Nourollahi whose venomous strike from 25 yards went in.

Ultimately, his performances helped Persepolis reach the quarter-finals and he is rightly named as Goal's Asian Player of the Week!

Congrats Ahmad!
