Kuyt Price-Tag Too High For Hamburg
Rumours tipping Dirk Kuyt for a move to Hamburger SV have quickly fizzled out after new HSV boss Martin Jol got word on how much Liverpool want for the versatile Dutch attacker.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have set their asking price at £16 million, which suggests that they are not actually that keen on letting go of the 28-year-old, who succesfully rediscovered himself at Anfield last year as a hard-working winger.
Jol had reportedly come to consider his compatriot as a possible replacement for the now Real Madrid star Rafael van der Vaart, but has quickly decided to focus his attention elsewhere.
The reason Reds boss Rafa Benitez was ready to entertain an offer at all is presumably due to his determination to enhance the club with Aston Villa skipper Gareth Barry, who has been priced at £18 million.
Liverpool co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have made it clear that any new purchases will have to be financed internally, following the big money signing of Robbie Keane, meaning that it has now become a give and take for Benitez.
As far as matters at pitch-level are concerned, Liverpool are currently preparing for their final pre-season test against Lazio at Anfield on Friday.
