The Brazilian wing back has hailed his compatriot's contribution to Barcelona, while he also hopes Paris Saint-Germain can make an impact in the Champions League.

Maxwell then went on to discuss PSG's Champions League ambitions, while hailing star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic's match-winning performances this season.

"The first thing is to get through to the quarterfinals. If we manage to, we hope to be at the same level as the big teams we'll face.

"Zlatan is currently on fine form. He is even scor¡ng with his head! That's something we haven't seen before."

PSG beat Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 in the first leg of their round of 16 tie.
