The Spain boss says the in-form Real Madrid youngster and Bayern midfielder are in his thoughts ahead of Brazil and insisted there is still time for others to stake their claim
The Real Madrid youngster has been in fine form in recent weeks, netting in five of his last six games, while midfielder Thiago has shone under Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich this season since his move from Barcelona.
The world and European champions have a number of viable options at their disposal in either position, but Del Bosque refused to rule out the possibility of the young stars heading to Brazil.
"Jese is in this group that can potentially come. I have never said otherwise," he told Marca.
“We must be cautious in the case of Jese and many other players. We still have three months to go before the start of the Championship. There is time to appreciate it.”
When asked about Thiago, the 63-year-old said: “Yes, he is a guy who is having many minutes at a great club such as Bayern. He is one for the future, but it's clear he is among the 40 or more players we are looking at.”
The Spain coach also spoke about the controversy of the recent Madrid derby as several Real players clashed with Atletico's Brazilian-born Diego Costa, who has opted to represent Spain.
"My answer was disgust. I don't like it when a player of ours does things that we saw that day," Del Bosque said.
"We should portray a certain image, especially those who have been world and European champions. That means we are obliged to be even more honorable."
