The 32-year-old's contract runs out in June, after which he plans on leaving the club, but reports have suggested the Blaugrana had made a last-ditch effort to change his mind.
Last season, the Spain goalkeeper announced his decision to leave the Blaugrana when his current deal expires at the end of the campaign.
But Radio Marca claimed the reigning Liga champions had attempted to change the 32-year-old's mind one last time.
“FC Barcelona categorically denies the information released this afternoon by Radio Marca in relation to a new contract offer for Victor Valdes," read a statement by club sources. “The club respects the decision taken by the player. We would like to show its gratitude, once again, for the commitment and professionalism he shows day in, day out.”
Barcelona has recently been linked with a host of potential replacements, including Borussia Monchengladbach's Marc Andre ter Stegen.
