Ronaldo: Bale 'will help us win trophies'

The Real Madrid superstar is happy to see the Wales international fully recovered after a difficult start to his Santiago Bernabeu career.
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo believes the arrival of Gareth Bale will help the club in its pursuit of trophies.

The Welshman completed a long-awaited 100 million euro move to the Santiago Bernabeu in September and has made a solid start to life in Spain, scoring nine times in his first 13 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Ronaldo is delighted with the impact his new teammate has made in the Spanish capital after an injury-interrupted start to life in La Liga.

"What Gareth does is admirable," the 28-year-old Portugal international told beIN Sport. "He had a few difficulties at the beginning, some small injuries, which is normal because he didn't have a preseason, and there were all these swirls around his transfer.

"But now it's going better. He has fit into the team well. The fans and the players both love him. He's a fantastic player who will help us win trophies."
