The Blancos legend singled out the duo for praise following their goalscoring heroics in Saturday's 4-3 Liga victory over Real Valladolid.
The Blancos were trailing after just eight minutes at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu before the pair of attackers combined to further delay Barcelona from an expected title success, and the club's former striker and current director commended them for their attitude.
"Not only is it for [Ronaldo's] goals, but I have great admiration for him and for the commitment and professionalism that he always shows," Butragueno told reporters. "For him, there is no easy match. He is an example and you have to look up to him. Kaka is also a great professional and has always tried his the best, so I’m happy for him."
Butragueno went on to say that he was desperate for Madrid to claim the Copa del Rey to make up for the failures in the Champions League and La Liga this term.
"The season started the way it did, we gave away many points and Barcelona kept up their lead," Butragueno said. "Elimination [from the Champions League] was a shame because there was great excitement beforehand. We believed in the comeback [against Borussia Dortmund], because we aspire to win every title.
"We will do everything in the Copa final to give our fans some joy. They were phenomenal last Tuesday and almost helped make the team go through. The players have recognised their efforts."
