thumbnail Hello,

The defender says the Portuguese is the best man for the job, while dismissing rumours of a bust-up between Barcelona and Real Madrid players in the Spain camp

Sergio Ramos insists Jose Mourinho is the perfect coach for Real Madrid.

Speculation has been rife that the Portuguese will leave the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season, following a campaign dogged by rumors of unrest in the Blancos dressing room, added to the side's poor Liga showing.

"The ideal coach for Real Madrid this season and for a long time to come is Jose Mourinho," the defender told Marca. "We're both fighting for the same thing, there is no doubt he has my utmost respect, he is the boss and the one in charge."

Ramos will become the youngest European to win 100 caps for his country when Spain takes on Finland on Friday night.

But typically, on the eve of his special night, the defender has been forced to deny rumors of a dressing room split in the Roja camp between Barcelona and Real Madrid players and an alleged dispute between himself and Gerard Pique.

"I said a while ago that I would not go for a beer with him [Pique], but we have a very professional relationship, there are no gripes between us, and if one day I have to go for a beer with him there won't be any problem, " he explained.

"I've always had a good relationship with players from other teams, not just the ones from Barcelona. I am a big 'Madridista', and defend my colors and badge to the death, but that doesn't mean I don’t get on with players from other teams.

"These are internal matters but there was a very open meeting between the players of the two teams and the coach that made it clear that these things don't help and that if we wanted to be champions we would have to settle our differences. Talking about it can solve lots of things."
