Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova will have to do without the services of Dani Alves after he pulled a hamstring in the 4-0 win over Levante.
The Brazil international featured from the start on Saturday but picked up a knock early in the game and was forced to leave the pitch after only 14 minutes of play.
Early tests have confirmed that the right back has pulled the hamstring in his right leg, but it is not yet clear how long he will be out of action for.
Alves will undergo a further examination in Barcelona on Monday to clarify the exact extent of his physical problems.
The 29-year-old defender has made 16 appearances in all competitions so far this term for the Blaugrana, netting once in the process.
