The Spanish midfielder has warned that the Catalan giants are making too many mistakes at the back and have been letting in avoidable goals recently.
The Blaugrana midfielder was speaking after his team's 3-1 win at home against Real Zaragoza on Saturday evening and noted that there have been a number of mistakes at the back so far this season. The club received a lift with captain Carles Puyol returning just weeks after suffering a gruesome arm injury, with him pairing with Gerard Pique to give the club its first-choice tandem after weeks of makeshift options.
"Football is a game between two teams, and our opponents come to play. We need to correct our errors so we don’t concede as many goals, and this is completely achievable," Iniesta told Sport.es. "There were times when Zaragoza made us run, they wanted to have the ball and that wears you out. I think, though, that we played out a very complete game."
Iniesta also heaped praise on teammate Lionel Messi, whom he believes is the reason why Barcelona is at the summit of La Liga with 11 wins out of 12 games.
"It's what we're used to," Iniesta said. "Leo makes a difference, because he is a unique player. I hope his form and the team's continues."
