Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has stated that he is happier playing in a more central role for his club.
Blaugrana coach Tito Vilanova trusted the 25-year-old with a pivotal position in the middle of the pitch against Deportivo on Saturday, which the Catalan giant won 5-4 following an eventful match, and the former Arsenal man was happy with how he fit into the Barca team.
"I felt at home in the position I was playing in, I had more space, I had more of the ball and more passes reached me," he told reporters.
Vilanova now faces the dilemma of who to play in central midfield for the club's next match, whether to stick with Fabregas or bring back playmaker Xavi.
Barcelona is currently preparing for its Champions League fixture against Celtic, which takes place at Camp Nou on Tuesday.
