Andres Iniesta and Jordi Alba have returned from international duty with injury and illness problems despite both players completing the full 90 minutes of Spain's 1-0 win in Georgia on Tuesday night.
Iniesta suffered an elongation of an adductor muscle in his right leg and medical officials at Camp Nou have confirmed he will be out for 10-15 days.
The diminutive midfielder will be unavailable for La Liga clashes at Getafe and at home to Granada, as well as Barcelona's Champions League opener against Spartak Moscow next Wednesday.
Jordi Alba is a doubt for Saturday's match with Getafe but may yet feature in Madrid as he has not been ruled out.
Meanwhile Carlos Puyol has posted a picture of himself on Twitter sporting a new face mask to protect the injured cheek bone the defender is currently nursing.
