The midfield maestro is pleased with his nation's strength in depth after several fringe players led La Roja to a comfortable 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia
Vicente del Bosque took the opportunity to field a number of fringe players for the clash, and the Barcelona stalwart believes his side's performance stands as proof of its abundance of quality.
"No matter who plays, the team does well," Xavi told reporters after the resounding win.
"Even though these are players that haven't played much, the team is not affected by it. Everyone is feeling great and we leave here happy."
Saudi Arabia is currently coached by Frank Rijkaard, who Xavi played under when the Dutchman was at the helm at Camp Nou, and the 32-year-old saluted the Dutchman for his contributions to the club.
"Rijkaard is a good person, a good coach and has given a lot to Barcelona. I remember him with exceptional fondness, he is an excellent person," he remarked.
Spain will take on Georgia in its opening World Cup Qualifying fixture on Sept. 11.
