The representative of the versatile Brazilian made it clear that his client is content with life at Camp Nou and ruled out a move away from the Catalan giants.
The versatile Brazilian started just 13 games last season, and it was believed that he could be headed for the exit door in the summer. However, Adriano's representative Paolo Alfonso moved quickly to dismiss that notion and revealed that negotiations over an extension will soon commence.
"Adriano is very happy at Barca and will continue there next season. It was very difficult for him to finally arrive at this club and he will continue here. Furthermore, the relationship with the board is great," the agent told Radio COM. "As is normal for a player with two years on his contract, Adriano will be negotiating a renewal. But there is no hurry."
"Right now, the player is on vacation and I will be with him in a few days."
Adriano joined Barcelona from Sevilla in the summer of 2010.
