The Blancos stars wore t-shirts in support of the Barcelona defender and the Bolton player, who have both had serious health concerns, ahead of their Liga meeting with Malaga

Real Madrid players have shown their support for Barcelona defender Eric Abidal and Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba ahead of their Primera Division match at home against Malaga on Sunday evening.

Half of the Madrid players wore t-shirts with the text 'Get well soon Abidal', while the remaining players sported jerseys stating 'Get well soon Muamba'.

Barcelona revealed on Thursday that the 32-year-old Abidal, who fought off the effects of a liver tumour in 2011 and returned to fitness in time to feature in the Champions League final, will have to go under the knife in the next few weeks to undergo a liver transplant.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Muamba collapsed during Bolton's FA Cup game against Tottenham Hotspur on White Hart Lane on Saturday, and currently lies in hospital in a critical condition following his cardiac arrest.
