The custodian reacted well to Medel's effort but couldn't get a hand to it, while a fortunate pass saw Navas punish the hosts. Didn't play poorly but the score says otherwise.
Dominated Negredo with several strong challenges, but was caught off guard on both goals. More should be expected from the France international.
Set up Costa's stunner with a smart pass back in his only real positive participation in the match.
Playing in place of Miguel, the Spanish veteran was attentive, cutting off many passes with perfect timing, while also advancing up the field to aid in attack. Decent overall performance.
The former Napoli man did well to assert himself with his strength and balance, but where was he on the second goal? Nowhere to be seen as Sevilla grabbed the win.
Hard to believe he even played. Barely noticeable, but the ball rarely came his way. Tried well to stop Kanoute on the second goal but was a step too slow.
Replacing Ever Banega, the Argentine scored a stunner in the first half from outside the box, curling in an effort with the outside of his foot into the bottom left corner.
Helped create Costa's goal with his passing and also sent in some great crosses from the right. Was quick to the ball and moved well in space.

The former Valencia shot-stopper could do nothing to contain Costa's effort but was threatened little for the rest of the match, being left as a spectator. Did a fantastic job on crosses.
Was at his best defending set pieces, heading out numerous efforts all game long. Also added a crucial clearance on a Feghouli cross. The top defender on the night.
The Chilean was all over the pitch and had a fantastic chance early on after a pass from Kanoute but his effort was off target. Made up for it with his goal late in the first half to draw things level. Really controlled the middle of the pitch.
Solid at the back. Marked Soldado well and made no vital mistakes. Seemed to get better as the game went on.
Had little to do as most of the play came through the middle and right wing. Did well to join the attack from time to time. Gave Mathieu and Jordi Alba little room on the wing.
The defender let Feghouli and Bruno get behind him a few too many times but did recover well and blocked crosses.
José Antonio Reyes
The former Arsenal man did well to race down the field in the first half an earn a free kick but did little else, like many of his fellow attackers. Wasted a golden chance early in the second half from close and was subbed off.
Took an early set piece, but his effort was terrible, smashing straight off the wall. Responded with efficient passes to start the attack, including many to get Navas going.
The talented Spaniard set up the equalizer with his perfect cross at the line. Also jump started the counterattack and finished easily for the second thanks to Kanoute. The star of the show.
Joining Negredo up top, the African attacker wasted a first half chance with a shot that slid wide but provided the perfect pass to Navas to take the lead. Great performance from the striker.
