Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has received some encouraging news on the injury front ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash against Getafe, as holding midfielder Xabi Alonso has resumed regular training again.
The former Liverpool star was unable to take part in squad sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday due to a muscle injury, and it was feared that the Spain international would miss the match against Madrid’s city rivals due to the knock.
Nevertheless, Los Blancos have now announced on their official website that Alonso has resumed squad training, and the midfielder is widely expected to be included in the match contingent for the game at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
Meanwhile, Marcelo, Sami Khedira and Angel Di Maria all missed out on Thursday's regular practice, as they had to settle for individual exercises.
