Valencia coach Unai Emery has stated that his side is keen to get back to winning ways in La Liga against Osasuna on Sunday, and despite injuries, the team has no excuses for not getting three points.

The Mestalla outfit lost its last league game unexpectedly 1-0 at home to Real Sociedad, and the 40-year-old coach is eager to make amends this weekend.

"We are confident and have the time and contribution of the players," he stated at a press conference. "There are no excuses for not returning to getting three points. I hope that we have the winning mentality."

Meanwhile, Ever Banega has spoken of his delight at extending his contract with the club; the Argentina international put pen-to-paper on a new deal to keep him with Valencia until June 2015 earlier in the week.

"I am very happy to extend my contract with Valencia CF. I want to keep improving with this team every day," he told the side's official website.

The South American midfielder was also praised by the club president, Manuel Llorente, who is glad that the 23-year-old has committed to the team.

"Ever is one of the greatest talents in the Spanish league. He is a young player who is growing and maturing by the day and we are convinced that in the future he will be even more important for Valencia CF," the executive concluded.
