Carles Puyol - Barcelona
Barcelona defender Carles Puyol is confident that the Blaugrana can still win the Primera Division title and feels that Real Madrid's lead in the league table is not insurmountable.
The Blancos have gone five points clear of Barcelona following its 5-1 win over Granada and the Catalans' 1-1 draw against Espanyol last weekend, but Puyol has stressed that there's still a long way to go in the season and a lot can happen in the remainder of the campaign.
"Five points is an important distance, but there’s still a long way go. Our margin of error is getting smaller and we're forced to falter as little as possible," Puyol said in a press conference.
"We will not give up on the Liga and we’ll fight until the end. Even though Madrid’s lead is significant, it’s not insurmountable."
Barcelona is currently preparing for Thursday's Copa del Rey last-16 match away against Osasuna. The club won the first leg at home 4-0.
