The Argentina international could return to match action in next weekend's La Liga clash after spending the past few weeks on the sidelines due to injury.

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho may have Angel Di Maria at his disposal again for next week's La Liga match at home to city rival Atletico Madrid as the Argentine winger is nearing his comeback after an injury layoff, Marca reports.

Di Maria sustained a hamstring injury in Madrid's 7-1 league win over Osasuna in early October and has since been out of action.

The former Benfica star returned to the training pitch last Friday for an individual practice session and is expected to resume regular squad training in the upcoming days.

It is not yet certain that Di Maria will be match fit in time for Saturday's match at the Santiago Bernabeu against Atletico, but Madrid is hopeful that the attacker will recover in time to feature in the derby.

Los Blancos are currently preparing for Tuesday's Champions League Group D match at home to Dinamo Zagreb.
