Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has stated in that he is concerned about his lack of form recently, according to reports from the English press.
The Sunday Times comments that the Frenchman, who was substituted in midweek to a chorus of boos in les Bleus 2-0 defeat to Spain at the Stade de France, is ‘feeling heavy’ and has ‘no rhythm’.
The 32-year old claimed that his poor performances are due to his lack of minutes on the pitch, saying, “This is a new experience for me, playing 25 minutes here and 15 minutes there.
"When you play regularly, you keep all of your speed and shape, but entering the Barcelona first team is difficult with Iniesta and Pedro playing so well.”
Henry also added that his current focus is to ensure that he is fully fit and ready to represent his country, with the World Cup due to kick off in just under 100 days.
He said, “I still have two months to be fit for the World Cup, I do not have the right pace at the moment, but we have a good preparation period at the end of the season, but the important thing is to not be injured when arriving in South Africa.”
