The Portuguese winger eager for los Blancos to continue winning.
By Paul Madden
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that Los Merengues can pip Barcelona to the Primera Division title and declared that he is excited about returning to action.
The Portuguese winger sat out Madrid's last two league encounters after a red card in the win over Malaga but returns to the fray today as Madrid face Andalusian strugglers Xerez.
"My team-mates did a great job and played very well. With me or without me, Madrid can always win. I am confident that we will win the league. I hope we can continue the [winning] streak because the Champions League is back and it would be good to face Lyon after winning at Xerez," he is quoted as saying by AS.
"The sending off annoyed me but it's gone and I come back with great desire. I think it was an injustice but he important thing is that it's done and I am happy about my return. I feel like a little child."
