Former Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster has declared that he believes Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery is a certainty to be a Madrid player next season.

The 26-year-old France international playmaker has long been the subject of speculation regarding a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and Schuster insists it will happen during the summer, claiming that the Bavarian giants will not relinquish the opportunity to cash in on their prize asset a year before his contract with the Bundesliga kingpins ends.

"When a player gets something in his head it ends up happening and Ribery will end up playing for Madrid. Ribery for me is a Real Madrid player, no discussion, for me it is a fact," he is quoted as saying by AS.

"From the summer of 2010 he will play at Real Madrid, there is no way around it, otherwise Bayern lose too much money," he added, referring to the fact that Ribery can negotiate a free transfer in January 2011 as his contract expires the following summer.
