Real Madrid representatives Jorge Valdano and Jose Angel Sanchez have met with Racing Santander president Francisco Pernia on Monday to discuss the possible transfer of Sergio Canales as four Premier League clubs make offers.

Spanish publication AS claims that Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton have offered €10 million for the player who is out of contract at the end of the current campaign.

Valdano is already believed to have held talks with the player's father Angel, who acts as his representative. Presently Canales is understood to have a verbal agreement to continue with the Cantabrian oufit but no formal contract has been signed.

Real have agreed in principle to compensate Racing should they secure the signature of the talented youngster but are believed to be unwilling to match the €10 million figure.

Angel Canales is also reported to have met with officials from City and United in the last few days with the salary offers from the British clubs exceeding those on offer from Madrid or Racing.
