Almeria's Hugo Sanchez Sacked After Espanyol Defeat
The ex-Real Madrid hero has presided over a poor run of form.

Hugo Sanchez's spell in charge of UD Almeria has come to an end after 363 days in charge.
The club hierarchy came to the decision to remove the former forward from his post after Almeria suffered their seventh defeat in eleven matches against Espanyol this Sunday.
The Mexican has presided over eight defeats in fifteen games so far this season, a total that leaves the Rojiblancos just one point off the relegation zone.
Sanchez, appointed almost a year ago to the day to replace Valencia-bound Unai Emery, was under pressure after failing to lead the Andalucian side away from the bottom third this season, despite his doing so in the last campaign.
The defeat in Barcelona this Sunday appeared to be the last straw for the club hierarchy, who convened an emergency meeting after the loss in which it was decided to remove Sanchez from his post.
The manager of Almeria's B team, Constantin Galca, will take over on a temporary basis. Appropriately enough, the former Steaua Bucharest man is best-known in Spain for his spell with Espanyol.
