The Ukrainian says his team will do their talking on the pitch.
Chygrynskiy arrived at Barcelona in late August, days after playing on the losing Shakhtar Donetsk side in the UEFA Super Cup final which was Barca's fifth trophy of 2009.
"For me it may be the first title I win with Barca and is therefore important to play in this championship," he said, as quoted by Sport.
The 23-year-old also played down the significance of the European champions being favourites to claim the world crown saying that the "games have to be won on the pitch".
Barcelona kick off their Club World Cup campaign on Wednesday against Mexican outfit Atlante, and are looking to win the trophy for the first time in three attempts.
