Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol has stated that he should be fit to face Barcelona in El Clasico at Camp Nou on Sunday.

Albiol strained ligaments in his right knee in the midweek win over FC Zurich in the UEFA Champions League making him doubtful for the trip to Catalunya but now looks to have recovered in time to face the Blaugrana. He will train with the rest of the squad today and barring setbacks is likely to be included in the first eleven.

Although now expected to recover, the 24-year-old centre back has declared that he would be willing to play this game injured ad says he is "thrilled" to be available for such a massive tie.

"I think I'll be at Camp Nou. I haven't even contemplated the idea of staying out of one of the biggest games of the year. Having trouble or not, I would give anything to be on the pitch. I am absolutely thrilled," he said, according to AS.
