Real Madrid's Higuain Delighted After Santander Win
'El Pipita' is pleased to be playing and scoring regularly again.
Real Madrid jumped to the top of the table with a 1-0 win over Racing Santander and their goalscorer, Gonzalo Higuain, was thrilled with the result.
Los Merengues head into El Clasico one point ahead of their rivals, and speaking to Marca, Higuain said, "There were a lot of changes at the start of the season, which is why we started slowly."
"But we are close to finding the level we want. We suffered against Alcorcon, which was very hard for a club like this.
"But we are ahead in the league and the Champions League. The important thing is that we are getting the right results.
"I scored again, therefore I am happy."
Real Madrid's next league test is a trip to Barcelona, but first they must take on FC Zurich at home in the Champions League in midweek.
