Barcelona Star Lionel Messi In Hot Pursuit Of Further Success
He says he'd like to face Estudiantes in the Club World Cup final.
Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has placed a great deal of importance on the Blaugrana's next three games and says the team "cannot fail" in these ties if they are to maintain their pursuit of further success.
Following Saturday's Primera Liga tie away to Athletic Bilbao, Barca face Inter in the UEFA Champions League and then take on fierce rivals Real Madrid in El Clasico at Camp Nou on November 29.
"We must go for it. We are aware of what is at stake and know we cannot fail. With the help of the fans, we're going to win these games," he said, as quoted by Sport.
The Argentinian star also said he is looking forward to the possibility of facing Estudiantes de la Plata in the FIFA Club World Cup in December.
"It will be very nice if we play for the World Club title with Estudiantes and also face a good friend like [Juan Sebastian] Veron We've talked about this possibility and we joked about it," he declared.
"He's a great player and Estudiantes is a great team. But despite the good relationship I have with Veron, I told him I will give everything to win," he added before stating that winning the Club World Cup and the FIFA World Player of the Year award would be the perfect end to the year.
