Flores Happy As Atletico Trounce Marbella In Copa del Rey
Atletico are set to face Sevilla in the next round.
Atletico Madrid coach Quique Flores has declared himself happy and insisted that his team are finding the solutions to their problems following their 6-0 thrashing of Marbella in the second leg of their fourth round Copa del Rey encounter.
Four goals from Maxi Rodriguez followed strikes from Jurado and Florent Sinama-Pongolle to secure the rout and progression to the next round.
Flores also said that he liked his team's attitude going into the game and noted that winning by such a margin is not easily achieved. Following their 8-0 aggregate victory, Los Colchoneros will play high flying Sevilla in the next round in January.
"It's not easy to achieve this goal difference. I liked it because our team entered the game taking it seriously and we are happy because the team occasionally needs this type of stimulus," he told a press conference.
"The players are doing interesting things, we have found the path which will lead us to solutions and there are good intentions amongst the players. They are able to listen and do things right."
