Sevilla Winger Jesus Navas Overjoyed With Spain Call-Up
The winger wants to enjoy the opportunity but also prove that he is good enough to keep his place in the squad.
After years of suffering from panic attacks and anxiety problems, Jesus Navas has finally conquered his demons and is ready to represent his country.
The Sevilla winger has now revealed how happy he is to have been called up to the Spain squad by Vicente del Bosque, and is intent on keeping his place for as long as possible.
"This is a very important day for me," he enthused to Marca.
"I have to give everything. The most important thing is to take this opportunity. I've taken the right steps to be with the Spanish national team.
"It's always an honor to keep growing in football. Now I have to work in order to stay here and that they keep on calling me.
"I want to enjoy this opportunity, because it's a privilege to be beside such important players."
Navas will be expecting to feature in la Seleccion's upcoming friendlies against Argentina and Austria, which take place on November 14 and November 18 respectively.
