Alcorcon Players Reflect On Stunning Real Madrid Victory

They know they still face a difficult task at the Bernabeu.

Players of Segunda Division B side Alcorcon are still on a high after their remarkable 4-0 trouncing of Real Madrid last night in the Copa del Rey fourth round, first leg.

Two goal hero Borja Gomez said the entire team deserved ten out of ten for producing the historic win and said the win was beyond their wildest dreams.

"I give the team ten out of ten. Against an opponent like Madrid you always have a lot of motivation. For them it is difficult to come to play a game like this and we learned to exploit. It is beyond what we dreamed," he admitted.

Goalkeeper Juanma who produced some fine saves for the hosts said that the have a great opportunity to progress to the fifth round, though insists that Madrid are still favorites.

"The first half was spectacular, and we ourselves believe what we have done. Now we're on cloud nine. It is an opportunity and a window. This is football and they are still the favorites. in the Bernabeu," he remarked.
