thumbnail Hello,

The Mexican legend was pleased with his side's display.

Almeria gave Barcelona a fight at the Camp Nou, and Hugo Sanchez was encouraged by the performance, despite the result.

A solitary goal from Pedro was enough to give the Blaugrana the win in a hard fought encounter. Speaking to Marca after the game, Sanchez said, "We man-marked them, because it is important to stop individual players against such a powerful team."

" By negating Xavi and Iniesta, we spoiled their plans. Barcelona only had a few chances.

"We are happy, but not satisfied, because we did not get any points."

Sanchez then explained that he was optimistic about the future, continuing, "This shows us that with discipline, we can compete against the best teams in the world."

"We attacked in the end, but we ran out of time. I expect that many teams will copy our tactics here.

"They had three chances and we had none, so it is a fair result."
