Rossi: I Don't Know If Pellegrini Wants Me At Real Madrid

Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi has discussed his side's upcoming match against Real Madrid - claiming that it is an obvious two horse race for the title between their opponents and Barcelona.

"Unfortunately, in the league I think there is nothing anyone can do. It will be Real and Barcelona [for the title], for all others, including us, it will be very difficult," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian international will go up against his former coach Manuel Pellegrini, who worked with Rossi from 2007 to 2009 at Villarreal. Rossi responded to rumors that the Chilean wanted him to join Madrid.

"He can be a very measured, very funny, or even very serious person. He always say what he thinks, but does it politely," he continued.

"I don't know [if he wanted to take me to Real Madrid]. When he left I did not have time to say goodbye, I'll do it tomorrow."

The Yellow Submarine will host los Blancos at El Madrigal on Wednesday. Kick-off is at 21:00 CET.
