Enrique Cerezo: Atletico Madrid Won't Sell Diego Forlan

The Atleti president has reiterated he will reject all offers for the Uruguayan striker.

Diego Forlan has been touted as Barcelona's current number one transfer target, after they were rebuffed in their quest to sign David Villa from Valencia.

The player's father, Pablo Forlan, had intensified these stories after claiming that the prospect of representing the club that "play the best football in the world" appeals to every player.

But Enrique Cerezo has now declared that he is not thinking about selling Forlan, nor is he worried that Barcelona could match the striker's buy-out clause, set at €36 million.

"Nothing worries me, except winning matches," the club president told Ona FM. "Everyone knows how we work. I have said that we do not want to sell.

"There is no reason to think it over. We will not sell him and that's it. Talking about it is just a waste of time."

He also rejected claims that he had met with his Barca counterpart, Joan Laporta, to discuss the sale of Forlan, saying, "Laporta has told me nothing."
