Valencia Striker David Villa Rules Out Premier League Move
David Villa claims that he will not go abroad to the English Premier League.
Arguably the hottest striking prospect in the world, David Villa, has been the subject of much discussion lately - the Spain international having his transfer situation brought into question over and over again.
The 27-year-old was heavily tipped for a move to Real Madrid in the not too distant past, but it seems now that Barcelona are the front runners for the hitman's signature.
Whatever happens, 'el Guaje' seems to have made one important and final decision.
"A week ago my future was clear, and now it's not," Villa told Cuatro.
"When I said I had taken a decision it was true, and this decision is that next season I will play in Spain because it is the league that is best for me, I will not go abroad."
Having ruled out a move to England, the striker seems eager to have the situation refined further, hoping to put the distracting episode behind him in the near future.
"I've been through some tough moments, which are partly my own fault, but I decided to put it all aside and I've not thought about it in the last five days."
